When you first get the system, you get access to the ebook, videos, and journal right away. You also get emails from Brian to check up on how you are doing and encourage you. In fact, he immediately sends you two worksheets to fill out to help you analyze the breakup.
With the platinum upgrade, you get access to a members only area where you can view the videos. Now, the only thing I didn't like about this was you had to go through two sign ins to access the information. Other than that, things went smoothly. Also, with a sign in, you don't have to worry about checking your email for updates. Brian just adds them into the download area so you can access them at any time.
All the videos are streaming, which means you don't download any of them. Some people may prefer to have downloads, but in actuality, the videos are very large files. Leaving them on the server means that they aren't taking up your computer's memory. However, some of the longer ones take a few seconds to load.
Along with the videos, there are mp3s. I personally liked this feature because you can download the mp3s to your music player and listen to them away from the computer. It's a great way to absorb the information – some of us do learn better by listening than by reading!
There are also PDF transcripts of the videos as well, which is helpful if you are a fast reader. A few of the PDFs have additional material. For example, Emotion Control is actually a book of over a hundred pages. It gets a little technical at times, but it's great to read if you want to really understand how to control your emotions.
The material available in the platinum section is extremely helpful. There are several lessons that deal with special situations. Some of that information can even be applied to additional situations. For example, the lesson on "How to Stop Your Spouse from Signing the Divorce Papers" contains some tactics to help you have more time to reconcile.
Along with the lessons on special situations, there's a ton of information that goes more in depth into problems that may arise while you're working through the system. For example, in the first stage, you may be tempted to act out in a desperate manner to get your ex back. However, the lesson on "How Your Desperate Behavior is Driving Your Ex Away" teaches you the reasons why that behavior actually will hurt your chances of getting back together. One reason? Begging or pleading with your ex to take you back may invoke pity in your ex if you're lucky, but pity is not a strong foundation to have a relationship.
Altogether, the platinum upgrade is a good value for the money if you have a more complex situation. It's also helpful if you want to insure that you will get your ex back the sooner possible time.
